Agency Tapped By Philly Host Committee to Manage Digital/Social Channels During 2016 DNC

The Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention has tapped Digitas Health LifeBrands social media talent to lead social and digital strategy and creative for one of the most complex and watched events in the world this week.  As an Area Partner of the Host Committee (a non-partisan non-profit organization) of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, Digitas Health executives have been shaping social media strategy, deployment and implementation in Philadelphia leading up to and during the Convention.

Annie Heckenberger, VP/Group Director, Brand Communications Strategy, is serving as Host Committee’s Director of Digital and Social Media, overseeing social strategy and organizing nearly 200 social volunteers, who are staffing 24 shifts over 8 days, with an end goal of sharing the most compelling stories as they happen around Philadelphia during one of the year’s biggest events.

Other members of the agency’s Social Strategy team have served on the Host Committee’s Digital Working Group and will help create content live from the Convention, represented by Michael Leis, SVP of Social Strategy and Jonah Martinson, Digitas Health Community Strategist.

The United States Library of Congress has selected the Host Committee for the 2016 Democratic National Convention’s website and channels for inclusion in the Library’s web archive focusing on public policy topics because they consider them “an important part of this collection and the historical record.”
