What’s the best or worst part of your job?
The best part is the chaos—no two minutes are the same.
Who’s the person you admire most in your area of work?
Female entrepreneurs are my heroes. I’m in awe of their fearlessness.
What’s the view like from your work area?
The view reminds me to always try to see the big picture, to not get too caught up in the trees.
How long is a typical meeting with clients?
There’s no such thing as a typical meeting anymore. Each is unique.
Does your office have a favorite lunch or after-hours place?
There is great love for the Friday office beer and wine cart—pay what you want as a donation to charity.
Where did you go to college? Did it help you prepare for your career?
The University of Vermont opened my eyes to advertising as a career path. But it was working in my dad’s business from a young age that taught me the importance of agility, emotional investment and trust.
What books are you reading?
These days I prefer articles and podcasts to books.
What was your greatest professional challenge?
So many involve building trust, cultivating relationships and developing talent.
Where will you be in five years?
Sometimes it’s tough to know where you’ll be in five minutes, let alone five years. So I keep my goals flexible.
