Michelle Kinsman oversees production and project management across Digitas Health in North America. Her team “brings the magic” to bear on mobilizing the myriad of tasks and talents it takes to deliver high-quality work for clients on-time and on budget. A born organizer, Michelle manages checks and balances, jumps hurdles, solves problems – and is opening up management opportunities for women, ensuring female leadership voices are encouraged and heard. .
Michelle says the most rewarding thing in her career has been helping other women get their seats at the table. A few years ago, she got involved with Viva Women!, Publicis Groupe’s global business resource group dedicated to developing and advancing women within the network. Viva Women! focuses on four areas: mentoring, leadership, career navigation and work-life integration. Michelle was so inspired she started a Philadelphia chapter and re-launched a New York City chapter, involving women from more than a dozen Publicis agencies in programs directed at professional development, speed mentoring, networking as well as community activities to support female-based charitable causes. Because of the momentum Michelle is generating on the East Coast, Michelle was asked to serve as VivaWomen! US National Co-Chair, a role that provides guidance and operational support to 12 local chapters across the country.
“Celebrating International Women’s Day will be important until we no longer need to discuss gender realities and differences in business and the economy,” says Michelle. “The best way to bring change is through celebrating the success of women and showcasing how women are changing the world- because it gives other people inspiration and the behaviors to model in their own lives.”
